CHAPTER 21
After our action packed marathon of sightseeing the day before, we decided to take things a little easier the next morning: a leisurely cruise down the Bosphorus was just what our bodies needed to rest and recoup, and prepare for our imminent departure to our next country. The cruise was long, and picturesque, and uneventful, aside from the lucky coincidence of our ferry encountering the start of, and then pacing, a massive sailboat regatta headed down the river and out into the open ocean. Though one boat was clearly sponsored by the Volvo Ocean Race, this wasn’t in fact that race, and try as I might, all my search attempts on the interwebs came up short, and I never learned what the race we witnessed actually was.
