Sevilla

CHAPTER 9

The problem with Spain, at least for me, is that there is so much of it I want to see, and choosing between one particularly quaint and picturesque town and another is somewhat confounding. On top of that, on this trip I was deeply desirous to show Kacey a few of my favorite spots from a previous trip, which obviously would be a repeat for me, but in a way, completely new considering my change in traveling companions: my beautiful wife this time vs. four scraggily college dudes last time. Keeping this in mind, we decided to opt for a mix of the new, and the tried and true… thus we rounded off our tour of Andalusia with a stop in Sevilla, a good anchor on any trip through southern Spain.

Its an old city, with history, and architecture, and a cathedral for the record books, but it’s a hip city too- with young students and proud hispalenses taking that same history and those same buildings and making it their own. This time around, we only got to experience one short day in the city, but that’s ok, because like everywhere else in Spain, we plan on going back.
